For over 20 years, I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with amazing clients—creating custom branding and marketing materials for established brands and start ups, and in numerous industries ranging from Beauty, Food, Health & Wellness, Real Estate, Fashion, Medical, Construction and so much more. I started designing and branding in the heart of Silicon Valley in Northern California, and am currently based in Phoenix where I work remotely for clients all over the country. Through web, print, video and illustration, I help my clients tell the stories of their brand with bold authenticity and visual clarity.

Freelance Branding & Design        
2007 — present

SayRED Creative
Working remotely and locally with in house teams, businesses and individuals to turn ideas into visual realities, create flexible, well built communication systems, establish and maintain brand visual language and tone, and meet the all around creative demands of the day. 

Plexus Worldwide     
Working side by side with their in house creative team and department heads, I provide identity development, event support, and design for both internal sales and external customer-focused programs. I help them to create imaginative campaigns that connect to their larger brand story, standardize formats, translate for international markets, and evolve the brand as we go.

Prosser Architects
This seasoned architectural firm hired sayRED to revitalize their identity, business system and signage. I went on to produce a number of successful direct mail campaigns, and helped to develop their first website – providing content support and design. 

Joe's Real BBQ           
I worked with the owners of this downtown restaurant to create their 10 and 15-year anniversary campaigns which included identity, signage and promotional apparel. Results produced a creative + production baseline that would be used for years to come.

HP / Hewlett Packard Enterprise 
Partnering with the head of their Global Software Services division, I designed and illustrated their annual Journey Map a few years in a row; a project that required translating complex business concepts into clear, engaging infographics. I also provided storyboards and art for an animated version which was presented at their very first virtual international summit.

Creative Director       
Origami Owl Custom Jewelry | 2013 — 2016
Provided creative direction and brand strategy for projects across multiple departments. Elevated and set brand standards, participated in the naming, branding and development of products and programs, and provided leadership to award-winning creative, video and photography teams. A hands on approach involved directing photoshoots, Photoshop retouching, social media planning and design, and layout and copy development for 6 seasonal catalogs a year. I was also extensively involved in the design of their business-driving starter kits, brand experience for national events, and product development for pop up store.

Lead Graphic Designer
Philosophy | 2008 — 2012 
As lead designer for holiday and novelty products and marketing, I conceptualized campaigns for print and and web that set the brand tone for holiday. Collaborating with marketing, sales, and brand managers, I helped to determine and then create the visual marketing support needs for retailers and in house dot.com efforts, including exclusive products for each. Efforts which led to more shelf space than previous years, stronger instore and online presence and, consequently, record breaking holiday sales. Other responsibilities included re-staging product lines, designing executive level presentations, user interface design for interactive games and landing pages, and the environmental branding of their corporate headquarters in Phoenix.

Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill | 2008 — 2009
I worked directly with marketing to support sales and advertising through web and print, coordinating production with their vendors and managing projects from start to completion. I helped to refresh the brand through a menu redesign, email campaigns, billboards, packaging and holiday promotions. 

Brand Designer
LunaBrand | 2008 — 2009
Designed and illustrated packaging and branding for luxury food and beverage companies, including Nothing Bundt Cakes and Fairytale Brownies. Participated in branding workshops that helped me gain a deeper understanding of brand development strategies. 

Graphic Designer
Mindspace | 2007 — 2007
I developed my web muscles at this fast-paced digital and creative learning agency. Projects I led and supported included sales programs, direct mail campaigns and brand identity. A proud moment was when the holiday self-promotion I designed for them earned an Addy award. 

Graphic Designer
Westminster Printing + Promotions | 2000 — 2007
I had a great start at this full-service creative agency in Silicon Valley, CA., where I provided art direction and co-managed projects from conception to delivery; creating promotions, websites and campaigns for clients like start-ups Palm and TiVO as well as for some of the pioneer tech giants like Hewlett-Packard, NetApp and Hitachi. I learned to adhere to style guides while pushing the creative limits, how to make the most of any budget, and what must be done to satisfy even the most discerning clients. One memorable project I led was the environmental branding of the agency’s new 5,000 sq foot office.
